«Лицо потерянной битвы»: Ф. Сабин и его универсальная модель «великих сражений античности»

Аннотация


В статье рассматривается оригинальный вклад в методологию «Лицо битвы» – математическую модель античного сражения проф. Ф. Сабина, опубликованную в его монографии «Потерянные сражения» (“Lost Battles”). Модель призвана подкрепить теоретические выкладки Сабина о «механике» сражения и предназначена для создания убедительной реконструкции битвы, когда сведения источников зачастую недостаточны или противоречивы. Главный элемент модели – тестирование психологического состояния воинов на разных этапах сражения на основе имеющихся источников. Реализация в рамках модели «альтернативных» вариантов развития событий может использоваться как настольная игра.
